Two weeks ago I went to the North Sydney Market, which had a Parisian-style flea market full of 'Trash n' Treasure'. As my first time attending the market, it was fun and cute with some great vintage items.
Some tips to ensure you buy the best vintage pieces:
Follow The Lipstick Girl on Twitter for more updates and fashion/beauty/vintage news!
There were even vintage Glomesh and Oroton bags, as well as many brooches, jewellery and other accessories.
Some tips to ensure you buy the best vintage pieces:
- Always check the condition of an item - look for stains, rips, tears, missing buttons/beading/other decorations, loose thread, broken zippers/clasps, etc. - if present, don't buy, unless it is essential and you can easily repair it
- Check what you are buying is authentically vintage by examining the quality of the material(s), colour, features, overall design and brand
Here are some new vintage wonders I sourced from the market! Enjoy x
- 60s style green, white and navy scarf.
- 80s Hawaiian parrot, hibiscus flower and pineapple gold brooch.
- Large pearl beaded gold necklace.
For more information about the market go to the North Sydney Market website.
P.S. The next market is on 8 June!
